Gigi Hadid encountered a rough start to her summer vacation when she and her friend were arrested at Owen Roberts International Airport in the Cayman Islands on July 10. Customs officials allegedly discovered a small amount of marijuana in their luggage and subsequently arrested them on suspicion of importing marijuana and related utensils for its consumption.
During a court appearance on July 12, both Hadid and her friend pleaded guilty to the charges and were fined $1,000 each. However, Gigi’s representative stated that she was carrying marijuana legally, having obtained it in New York City with a valid medical license.
Despite the incident, Gigi appeared to make the most of her time in the picturesque Caribbean paradise renowned for its sandy beaches, and vibrant culture, engaging in enjoyable activities and spending time in the azure waters with her daughter Khai and friends.
