The 22 seconds animated clip which was created by artist GUAP with a soundtrack by Kevin Gilliam (DJ Battlecat) featured a reveal of a branded pre-roll tube and also a new rendered version of the Death Row Records logo.

This new lunch, was curated by AK who is a longtime West Coast legacy cultivator and industry insider best known for his role in cultivating strains such as RS11, Studio 54, and Shirazi from breeder DEO alongside former partner Wizard Trees. AK is also known as prime mover behind the IYKYK brand SMKRS and he is also the Vice President of Cultivation for TRP LLC, the company that owns a majority of the Cookies stores across the nation.

Death Row Records was a record label founded in 1991 by Marion “Suge” Knight, Andre “Dr. Dre” Young, and The D.O.C. It was a prominent hip hop label during the 1990s and early 2000s, known for releasing albums by artists such as Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur, and Snoop Dogg. The label was also known for its association with gangsta rap and the controversies surrounding its artists. Death Row Records faced numerous legal and financial challenges, and it was eventually acquired by WIDEawake in the mid-2000s.

Death Row Cannabis will first be available at select Cookies California stores throughout California on Monday, January 2, 2023, with other locations and more states to follow.

Snoop Dogg was one of the artists signed to Death Row Records, along with Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre, and others. He was with the label from 1992 to 1998 and released several albums while signed to Death Row, including his debut album “Doggystyle”, “Tha Doggfather” and the soundtrack to the film “Above the Rim.’’
